Recently on FB there was a challenge to post one thing you are thankful for every day this month! I started a little late (yesterday) but I think it's a great thing to do! My thankfulness yesterday was for children!
Just in a brief search for a Bible verse to include in this post I saw in JUST GENESIS over 200 places mentioning children. I was reminded how God gave Abraham and Sarah a child as a gift...how true this should be for all parents, grandparents and teachers alike. Children are a true gift.
I was able to go to the Elementary school yesterday and teach a fun lesson with Shaving cream (loved it!!). They had so much fun, but each child said/did something different with it. Some embraced it and fell in love with the feeling while others wanted to "wa hans" [wash hands]! Once I explained it was okay to have on their hands they almost refused to "wa hans" ;)
What a great reminder that God loves us as His children. Because of the passion He gave me for children I can phathom (one tiny spec more) the way God views us...ahh the joy they bring to our world!
