Mini Polyvore Series-Teaching in Style

Teaching is my #1 passion, but I don't think style has to sacrifice in this field. I actually believe the more put together you look the more students feel a since of respect from you. Children tend to believe you "dressed for them" and I think it is important to portray that. I also think it is important to be modest and appropriate in what you wear to school. Some days are harder than others with the current styles and trends but hopefully this next series will give you some ideas to be cute and conservative while in the work field!

I believe you can look professional, classy and cute all while at work and sticking to a budget. Of course depending on the age group you teach your style may change. Dresses for work is the first post in this mini series.

Key points for dresses:
1. Length, length, length!!!! Make sure your dresses are appropriate for the task at hand. If you have floor lessons planned, you may opt for pants that day.
2. Leggings! Leggings (not see through) are the perfect way to make dresses more appropriate, even if they are knee length leggings are an added safety while at school
3. NO low cut. Some of the latest front cuts are an absolute NO for school. Find a great camisole or leave it for the weekend!

Stay tuned for my Next post: work appropriate shoes

The polyvore site is connected to my blog, but to see the pictures better (until I reset the format of my blog) you can visit my Polyvore site to see the full view & description!
