There's no doubt I do not know the love of a parent, but if there was a closeness to that...I think I feel it for my students. I have been reminded that even after all of the hustle & bustle a school day brings I should take time & pray for and encourage my students. I have no clue what I would do in such a tragedy but I pray my choices would have been as heroic as many of the adults chose Friday.
As I get ready to conclude the first half of my 1st school year I feel excited to love on these kiddos for 5 more days!! We'll be working for fire experiments, seats of choice, etc. each day to actually get some learning in. Hopefully these balloons won't go unnoticed in the a.m.!
