New Years Eve!

Happy 2014! This year I am hoping to get a blog a week in! I have epically failed at all things in the blogosphere...other than reading them so here's to fixing that! 🍹

Last night we hosted a NYE party for some friends. I am off right now because I'm a teacher so I had a blast getting it prepped. Chance and I both love to host parties...The clean up doesn't even bother us:) Here's some snaps of the fun!

Menu: Snacks and Drinks
~Mini meatball sandwiches with marinara
~Chips, salsa and spinach artichoke dip
~popcorn with toppings
~Blackberry dump cake
~Dessert shooters (Nutella, marshmallow cream, pretzels and strawberry)
~French bread with balsamic dipping
~Usual drinks, tea, coke, sparkling grape juice
Decorations:
We have known for weeks we were hosting so I have kept my eye out for anything white and gold. (Color schemed decided prior to looking) I ended up finding all on clearance at either Target or Marshalls! Whatever was left I grabbed at Party City the day of (hats, horns, etc.) I believe total food included we spent $125 to host a party for 12. We have leftovers of most everything except the food, yay!!

Activities:
As usual, when shopping for Christmas gifts I over bought. I had about 6-8 things that I needed to get rid of. So, we played BINGO and whichever guest won, got to take a prize home! We played 4 rounds and whatever was left after that was free for all. I'm so glad we don't have all of that to find a place for anymore plus it made fun prizes! We topped off the evening playing Bezzerwizzer. If you've never played, buy it right now and get a group of friends together to play. 😀
We also had a photo booth for everyone to take pictures in. We encouraged them to take pictures of their resolutions and save as the background on their phone for a reminder! The props were $6 total and they have more online we could've printed. I saw them at Marshall's so I just snagged them.
(That's us! More to come on our resolution:))

We love our friends. So thankful for a fun night and ready to face 2014! Happy New Year everyone!
