Academic Amanda (and the 1st field trip extravaganza)...#2

Today was my first official field trip as a "teacher". We took the children to the fair, and they got to see all of the animals! Not only did we see cows that said, "MOOOO" and sheep that said "Baa-aa-aa" we even got to hold the chickadees that were "lellow" and see a cute lil pony, that confused us on her sound because she was so little!

Our morning was filled with excitement getting ready for the trip. I once again witnessed chocolate milk in honey nut cheerios and strawberry milk mixed with apple juice, delic.!

We then got to go back to the room and learn proper bus riding etiquette...seatbelts helped on this one :) Atlast, the bus arrived and off we went to experience the farm life. Oh what beautiful smiles the kids had when they were petting all of the animals. However, those farm folk were no dummies, they had a sand table filled with farm town toys that was a sure hit with the kids (who knew).

Overall we had a swell trip, the ride back was enjoyed with droopy eyes and hungry bellies, but still just as sweet as ever little kids! This week I learned so much about children's emotions and I can't wait to report back to my professor about them!

Hopefully next week can compete with the fun :)

P.S.-Close encounter to having to explain death... with one of the chicks, we forgot to go over that during etiquette time ;)
