What a blessing to have known 3 of the 4 of my grandparents for the majority of my childhood!
Other than my amazing mom, my Granny and Mammaw are the two most amazing and super hip women I've ever known. So today's post is a tribute to them and their role in my life!
Sweet Granny will be 81 in November (and I posted this because I know she's proud of it!) and still trucking along like none other. From adventures to the Longview g-kids events all the way to trips to S.M. for a little fun. A woman of God and a light to so many people's life! Granny...you rock!
My adorable/hilarious Mammaw is so good to us. Not only is she so understanding on many things (like a lack of visits) but she makes anyone feel like she's known them forever every time you see her. She can make you forget a bad day in the first 5 minutes of conversation and always gracious for a Brown Pig ;) Mammaw, you rock as well!
We all three have several things in common, especially our love for The Sound of Music! If one day my grandchildren can say I am anything like these two amazing women I'll be truly thankful.
I'd be silly if I forget Pawpaw in this tribute. Always willing to help,even if it was to run me to gymnastics w/o a license, just so I wouldn't be late! ;) He was always ready to hear about my day at school and proud to see a report card each 6weeks. I can still remember vividly him enjoying softball stories and even getting to come to one season in highschool. More infamous for his Maverick Baseball appearances though :)
Love to all you grandparents out there...and a special thanks for the amazing Granny and Mammaw of mine!
